We want your toothbrush to be both effective and low‑impact. That’s why we use plant‑based bristles made from castor oil. While these bristles are not biodegradable or compostable, they offer the best balance of sustainability and performance available today.
Castor oil is transformed into Nylon 1010, a bio‑based polymer. Even though it comes from plants, the finished material behaves like nylon:
